Inspired by the maelstrom, the tornado, and the spiral arms of galaxies, Vortex is a shape shifting installation that was created for the Bloom Festival 2024.

Among the trees of Søndermarken’s iconic Lindehøj, three semi-trans- parent curtains slowly move around and create an endless variation af spatial densities. As a modern interpretation of romantic garden architecture, Vortex rises like an installational beacon at the festival.

One state is constantly replaced by another. Through synthetic play of colors and unpredictable motion, the work displaces spatial and sensory perceptions across the festival grounds - raising the question of who is moving around whom.
