The work consists of a short film documenting a found McDonald’s cup dropped on an escalator, caust to revolve around it’s own axis, endlessly spinning. The artwork points to a consumer culture where packaging, despite its industrial design, is a byproduct discarded after use. In the filming of the coincidental encounter between the lost cup and the mechanical movement of the escalator, the cup with its straw, designed for a soft drink, becomes a performative sculptural object that speaks about consumer culture and the strong potential of found aesthetics.
