We are happy to announce that we have been selected fort the Oslo Architecture Triennale 2022 with the public project "Peoples Palace" / ‘Farvernes Plads, Folkets Palads’. 

The 8th Oslo Architecture Triennale, ‘Mission Neighbourhood’, explores how we form the places we share and how we can make them better.

‘Farvernes Plads, Folkets Palads’ is a transformation of Poul Gernes' Palads. With the transformation a new kind of urban space emerges. The project creates space for complexity, diversity, and an overlapping of functions in a generous public space that pays homage to the city's complexity. In line with the Palace's status as a popular icon, a people's house is created - for the benefit of the city's inhabitants.

The project has been made in collaboration with Atelier for Byers Rum / Knud Aarup Kappel (Architect MAA) + Lauge Floris (Architect MAA), Olivia Toftum (Cand.mag), DSA ARK STUDIO / Nils Jeppe Hansen (architect MAA) + Jørgen Beck Taxholm (Architect MAA)

Our contribution consists of works from three series of works: the print series _Glitch_, the sculpture series _Polytones_ and the paper pleat series _Pleats_. The exhibition also includes works by Eva Steen Christensen, Asger Jorn, Honey Biba Beckerlee, benandsebastian, Anne Prytz Schaldemose, George Koutsouris, Jens Bohr, Rikke Raben, Torben Ebbesen and Toril Johannessen.

Craftmen apprentices dormitory in Roskilde

The private Danish foundation BRFfonden is generously financing and building three dormitories for craftsmen apprentices in Denmark. One dormitory in Herning and Horsens. The third dormitory is planned to be build in the new neighbourhood Musicon in Roskilde, DK.

Prior to a later building programme and competion a selected team of architects, artists and not the least craftsmen apprentices have been invited to create an experimental test course on site in Roskilde, September 2022.

We are happy to announce that we are part of the selected group of artists and we are looking much forward to the next step in the project.

The picture above is the result of our collaborative workshop together with artist Henrik Plenge Jakobsen and a group of craftsmen apprentices. Together we created an enormous changeable wall of colored acrylic boards and a giant transformative chandelier of rough LED light fittings suspended from the ceiling.

Finally “Skyfold” our site specific acoustic light curtains for the transformation of “Vestsalen” by @cubo_arkitekter in the former prison @faengslet was inaugurated on September 14 in Horsens, DK. With the expertise from Vase A/S the construction of the two giant 11 x 12 m free hanging curtains are now in place, with high end textiles by @kvadrattextiles The commission is permanent and financed by Realdania and A.P. Møller Fonden.

Screens and Objects

The commission ”Screens and Objects” for the new EY HQ in Copenhagen has been realized. The project will be inaugurated in August 2020. The commission consists of 74 unique textile elements that form the privacy screens in the meeting spaces and the cantina of the building. The textile elements can be used in different combinations in each room to transform the spatial environment and create different variations of transparency and privacy.
The project has been realized in close collaboration with:
