The installation Flash consists of a strobe lamp connected to a battery. The battery is powered by a solar panel situated on the roof of the exhibition hall. The energy from the solar panel is stored in the battery and when the battery is fully charged it sets off an ultra short flash of 11.000 joules from the lamp. The frequency of the flash is dependent on the position and intensity of the sun.
